Denver Ceramic Studio: Find Your Center

I began my career in 2006 as a ceramics major at Texas Women's University. I developed my style with abstract wheel-thrown forms, with heavily chattered surfaces, fired in Raku. I started teaching ceramics/sculpture in public high schools throughout my undergrad, master's, and PhD programs. I moved to Denver in 2024 to teach, but my role was cut shortly after arriving, and Denver Ceramic Studio was born. My vision is to keep the traditional ways of pottery alive: celebrate the wobbles and reciprocate the energy in the clay. The ceramic pieces we make capture the energy we radiate as a visual representation of our mood. My current work is functional, humorous, and regularly sticks to the kiln shelf. My next art exhibit will be in Art in All Forms in Englewood, Colorado, on October 10th, 2026.  Hopefully, I will get around to updating the gift shop where you can view my work.
